Love the new updated look in my kitchen!

This refrigerator fits perfectly in my kitchen and looks sharp. I needed an update after having my old refrigerator for 20+ years. I really like having the freezer on the bottom with the main refrigeration part on top, The only downside would be that the freezer doesn't hold as much as my old one, but the upper section seems larger. A good trade off. Love the French doors.

Good refrigerator for counter depth

Our LG refrigerator died at not quite 6 years. So, I was in a jamb to replace the refrigerator quickly, and I have to fit counter depth. I wanted a refrigerator that was built by Whirlpool, on the recommendation of my appliance repairman. This was the one that fit, with the French door design. I like it. But, it is smaller than my previous fridge. And, the shelves and drawers feel cheaply made. Hopefully, the compressor and condensor are built to last. We'll see.

Have had this refrigerator about 2 1/2 months and have already had to have 2 parts replaced. The refrigerator stays at about 22 degrees and has had the circuit board and thermostat replaced. Still freezing everything in the fridge. It is a brand new "empty" refrigerator that I am unable to use because I can't afford to keep throwing away the food that it ruins. Maybe Whirlpool will replace it with one that works!! Very upsetting when you invest a lot of money in an appliance that you need everyday and you can't use it.

Great interior space for a counter depth refrigerator. Interior water dispenser is very easy to get to and use. Makes perfect size ice cubes. Ice cubes are very easy to get out of tray in freezer. I use a small plastic cup to scoop them. We needed the color to be white to match our other appliances and it does. All in all this refrigerator is wonderful. My wife and I are very pleased and happy.

Within two months, I needed mother board replaced.

My refrigerator has been a real lemon. Since buying two months ago I've had the repair man twice and expect him again this week. The first time a tag Was left in the back of the machine that was banging when the fan went on. I had to have the repairman out because I had no idea what was causing the noise. After that, my refrigerator started losing cooling in both the freezer and the refrigerator. In fact, everything melted in the freezer and the refrigerator went up to 68°. All my food in the refrigerator and freezer were ruined. The company would not stand behind it and I have to replace about $200 worth of food. The repairman came out and after calling the whirlpool technicians, they determined it was the motherboard. Apparently the appliance went into the defrost cycle and did not come back on until 24 hours later ruining all my food. Whirlpool gave me an extra six month warranty. I am now waiting for my motherboard. I hope that this is the cause of my problem and not something else. So I will have had to lose parts of three days for the repairs and lost money from ruined food. I have not been made whole from whirlpool. As you can imagine I am very unhappy with my purchase.

I had the large version of this for 10 years. That's a long time for an appliance to last nowadays. For me the top refrigerator was too large and the bottom freezer was too small. So I bought the countertop depth one and a small chest freezer for the basement. Everything looks great. The old one had a poor design on the gasket. The new one looks improved. This one does not have a butter compartment.

I've only had the fridge for a week, but the quality is 100 times better than my last one. There was a lot of thought that went into the features, I love that the shelves are split and can all be adjusted independently, the lighting is fantastic, all the drawers slide easily and the deli drawer holds so much that it frees up a lot of the shelf space, the ice design makes it so we always have a full ice bin without having to manually turn it off and on and it's very quiet except for the 5 seconds to refill the water for the ice maker. Lastly the gallon size shelves in each door hold a lot of bottles so storing my wine, soda and milk is no longer a problem like it was in my last fridge that was the same size.

I purchased this fridge to replace a 18 year old model that just was'nt meeting our needs. I wanted a white appliance to match my other existing items and that is difficult to find in a sea of stainless. The design with the freezer on the bottom is much easier on my back( no need to bend down to see what's in fridge or pick up what slid out of freezer). I like the modern updates of a well lit interior and open door alarm. I have not yet hooked up water or ice,but prefer it be inside to avoid constant handling or getting activated by the dog! I had read in some reviews the fridge was noisy. That has not been my experience. Overall very pleased with product.

This refrigerator is awesome. I bought it to replace a 25-year-old refrigerator (with top freezer) which still looked good and worked well. I am most excited about its french door design. It allows us to easily see all our refrigerator contents with no bending over! Because of that, we can buy exactly what we need at the store and nothing gets lost at the back. I am also very happy that I chose white (instead of following the stainless trend). It fits right in and gives us a look that we're used to; except with much better design. One big negative feature

We've had our Whirlpool for 2 weeks. Overall, we're very satisfied. One significant engineering problem: it is fairly hard to open the freezer door. My wife needs both hands to open it. There must be a way to make the freezer door easier easier to open. Other manufacturers have done so. Example: we examined a Samsung refrigerator that would not fit in our kitchen space, but the French Door model freezer door was far easier to open and close.

Great features. Much larger than anticipated.

Was delivered January 9th and we absolutely Love It! We had a side by side refrigerator prior and there is no comparison. In this French door refrigerator the doors hold so much that the shelves can be used for left overs. I love the water dispenser inside of the refrigerator vs. the one I had on my last refrigerator which was on the outside and the Ice being in the freezer instead of getting it from the outside of the door is much better. I absolutely love the counter depth and will never have a regular depth refrigerator again; it is perfect for my small kitchen. Even though I went from a 22 cu. ft. down to this 20 cu. ft. it has much more room and is much easier to get items in and out of the refrigerator and the freezer due to the way the space is organized. It is extremely quiet and I cannot even hear it making ice. The lighting inside is exceptional.

Great refrigerator so far !!

After 4 years and countless repairs to a Samsung counter depth, was finally forced to replace. The whirlpool so far has been an awesome refrigerator. Makes loads of ice and inside water dispenser. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family who are having the same problems with their Samsung.

Counter-Depth is Awesome!

We impatiently waited a month to receive this fridge. I'm glad we waited. So far, the smaller size resulting from the counter-depth hasn't been a problem. The refrigerator actually has more door storage than the one we replaced which was a Maytag french door with in-door dispensers. The ice-maker in that type takes up space in the upper fridge and the left door. I'm hoping the ice-maker lasts; we've never had luck with those. Nothing remarkable about the exterior. We got white since biscuit is no longer offered. That's annoying. The interior components seem to be of lesser weight, flimsier, than those of our Maytag. The interior water dispenser is awkward; it takes two hands and a wide-open door to reach it. Overall so far, we are very happy with this purchase.

White and sleek

I was concerned about the dimensions because we have a tight fit, but it was perfect. The drawers are see-through which is an advantage over my last GE. Probably my favorite feature is the sound of the motor...it is nice and quiet. The one design glitch in my mind is that you must open both doors to get to one of the crispers.

Great fridge so far

After a week, so far so good. Water dispenser dripped for about half a day but stopped. Nice clear ice cubes because of the water filter (a feature not on our old fridge). Pleased with the quality of the shelving. LOVE the look of the counter depth. Note - sizes on the web sites are a bit bigger than the actual measurements. We found a store with the fridge on display so that we could measure a 'real' fridge because our fit was quite tight.

We bought this fridge when our 9 year old Kenmore crapped out. The fridge is as advertised. We prefer the freezer located below the refrigerator - our last one was a side-by-side. The only critique I have is the location of the water dispenser - it is a little inconvenient.

Frig is good

I purchased this frig because I remodeled my complete kitchen. It fits perfectly. Seems as though I have to keep the "humidity control" on all the time which I know uses more energy. I like the frig features but when you let the doors go, they bang shut! Other than that I really like the freezer on the bottom and also like the french doors with the drinking water inside the frig.
