We had a GE Profile countertop microwave with a built in wall kit that worked well for just over five years, until the magnetron began arching significantly. Of course that microwave is no longer available, and apparently, unlike ranges, refrigerators, and dishwashers, microwave ovens are not built in standardized sizes. So we were stuck with one choice and one choice only. The good news is that our only choice is a very nice, though expensive, appliance. The current version of this appliance will not work as the top display section of the unit is now over an inch taller making it so that the top cabinet doors will not allow that unit to fit, which really sucks because that is the unit we really wanted. If these items are going to be called "built in" then they need to be standardized for cutout and trim dimensions. GE, are you listening? Thank you MJ's for being such a wonderful, professional and helpful dealer!

The settings for cooking and reheating specific foods is a great feature. Consumers need to be very careful about this installation height - installing the oven too high could be a problem. Some of the GE data is not helpful in this regard.

After installing microwave we keep getting front panel shorted. We have had 4+ service calls. It still not working. Now when we contacted support they said sorry but you appliance is out of warranty. But we can give you a discount on a new one.

We remodeled our kitchen and did a built in cabinet for this microwave/over and we put it in around the first of Sept and it stopped working the first of Oct. panel doesn't display anything, it will do express cook but u can't see on panel what it's doing.

I love the versatility of this oven. One issue is GE changed the handle design but did not change the model number so buyer beware. We have all GE appliances in our installed by our builder but this one does not have the same handle as pictured. It is rounded and shorter making it look like it doesn't match. Also, the lower over buttons are backlit but the Advantium is not making it difficult to see the buttons if there is a glare or low lighting.

Works very well. One of the features is that it heats up much faster. We are real fans of Advantium's Speed Cook function. The microwave works really well and we have used both the convection oven to cook meat, pizza, etc. We don't have to heat big conventional oven.

We had this oven installed over the top of another GE convection wall oven during a kitchen remodel in September 2014. It has been a great appliance. We use it mostly as a microwave, at least 10 times a day. And we use the speedcook and convection baking often. It is easy to clean and the controls are intuitive. The only problem we've had was just recently the spring in the door hinge snapped. The door still remains secured, but must be lowered in a controlled manner. I can't find an easy way to repair, or parts. So I guess I'll have to have the appliance repair guy take a look at it.

While the speed cook function works as advertised, the proofing function is set at about 76 degrees - not terribly useful. The technician said the temperature can be set anywhere from 75 to 90 degrees, and could not be changed. When I commented that 76 degrees was about the same as proofing on the counter, he responded that "not everyone lives in Florida" - a very flippant response for a service person.

We got this PSB9120SFSS Advantium oven model as part of an upgrade package in our new house. The upgrade cost an additional $3500.00 and included upgrades to the microwave, fridge, and cooktop. While the other pieces of the package have performed ok, we are now awaiting our third microwave oven. The first two make/made a loud, annoying vibration noise. The first was examined/repaired 5 times. The second had the same problem from installation. So now we are awaiting the third. For a $2500.00 stand alone microwave, the quality is quite poor! We've had neighbors also complain about it.

If you like options this is the one. Even with the multitude of options this oven/microwave is really easy to use. Options like fresh, partially frozen, or frozen pizza takes the guessing out of what temp or time to use. This eliminates the need for us to have multiple appliances also. We were thinking about getting an air fryer, but with the convection option there is no need for use to have both. One of the most important this for me when it comes to microwaves is some of them are to loud, whether it's the buttons or end cycle. You want get the loud annoying sounds with this microwave/convection oven.

Works very well! We bought it mainly for the microwave function, but spent a little more because the handles and style match this matches our existing GE Profile oven. So glad we went high! We are real fans of Advantium's Speed Cook function. Potatoes bake perfectly in 20 minutes instead of an hour, and more moist than cooking in the traditional convection oven. A whole chicken roasts in 40 minutes and was so tender and juicy. Looking forward to trying more dishes from the cookbook that accompanied the oven!
I do wish the door opened from the side instead of swinging down. This was installed in the microwave area of our cabinets, and since we had a microwave there previously I did not expect any problem with height (I am 5'2"). However, since the door swings down I am unable to transfer anything more substantial than a cup of liquid, or a small plate for reheating without standing on a step stool (which feels a little dangerous). And even then if feels like my arms are too short. It is also a little difficult to get the trays set correctly on the wheel. If the door opened to the side, I don't think I would have any of these problems.
So as long as I have someone stronger and taller to help with transferring larger/heavier dishes in and out of the oven, it works very well. The cooking technology and appearance are 5 stars, but advise to be very careful with the installation height.

This advantium microwave does not match the advantium wall oven. The color is not the same. The digital font and font color are not the same. The edges and door are not the same. The handle is not the same as the oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.

Product installed had some wearing and stains on the back wall we cannot clean. It appears it was used before installation to a new home. The dial is junk. It does not always catch and just spins around, we have to push or hold it to get it to actually change the settings.
The unit is deep which is great for many things, but to clean it you need to get higher to reach past the door to the back to clean completely without putting pressure on the door where it would fall off.
The clock does go off when not in use and that is annoying as i depend on this in my kitchen. I haven't figured out yet if you can adjust the preprogrammed settings, the popcorn setting is not enough to pop a bag completely - i end up having to add 60 seconds while it's still cooking.
